I've ridden in a 2004 Civic Si and found it to be an average-performing warm hatch. However, as KITT222 mentioned, the amount of bros who cut the springs and slap $60 Autozone fartcans on it while bragging about VTEC (while having no clue what it actually is) will ruin any car, much less one as "meh"-inducing as the Si.

In defense of Civic SI's, they are good cars, but the fact that the GTI's have 38 more ft-lb's of torque cannot be replaced. if you want a coupe or sedan, instead of a hatchback, I can see why you'd go with the civic
